All About PlexR Skin Tightening

Skin tightening has been a natural thing for women ages 30 and beyond. If you’re in those groups and are worried about your sagging skin, a treatment like PlexR can help! For more natural, smooth, and glowing skin, you can work with our Maki Wellness and Medspa team.

But first, let us help you discover how PlexR skin can help you bring those young and fresh vibes around. Read this post and see if this treatment is ideal for you.

All About PlexR

PlexR is a soft-surgery treatment that can treat wrinkles, acne scars, moles, and extra skin around the eyes, among other skin problems. With PlexR, you can fix minor issues in sensitive, smaller areas without having surgery.

Using this treatment, you can also fix eyelids that are hooded or hung down. PlexR can be used anywhere that there is loose, crepey skin. But most people get treatments around their eyes, lips, frown lines, and neck.

After the first treatment, it will be apparent that the medication is working, but the best results won’t be seen for three weeks. Usually, three treatments spaced out by six weeks are recommended to get the best results.

What are PlexR’s benefits?

Here are the following things that you can benefit from PlexR:

  • Rebuilding the eyelids without surgery (non-surgical blepharoplasty), including removing bags under the eyes and extra skin on the upper eyelids.
  • Reduce the look of scars, such as those left over from surgery, acne scars, and stretch marks.
  • Skin flaws and benign growths, like warts, fibromas, pigmentation, sunspots, etc., can be treated.
  • Lifts for the neck and face.
  • Tattoo removal.
  • Having acne.

Plexr is also a good treatment for people with fine lines, wrinkles, and extra skin on their upper and lower eyelids. This treatment can be done on all types of skin.

It does not involve cutting or stitching the skin so the wound will heal faster. It’s an excellent choice for people who aren’t ready for eyelid surgery or aren’t good candidates for blepharoplasty surgery.

No matter how many skin problems you have, it’s likely that the flexible plasma technology used by PlexR can help. PlexR is becoming increasingly popular as a treatment for people of all ages because it can help with many skin problems.

What To Expect

Most healthcare providers put numbing cream on your skin before the procedure to make it less painful. Depending on the area being treated, treatment can take anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes, even if numbing cream is used.

Each area may need one to three treatments, spaced out every 6 to 8 weeks. The dots made by the Plexr device are used to sublimate (change from solid to gas) the top layers of skin cells without causing bleeding or damage to the nearby tissue.

After treatment, the places that were treated will be red and swollen. At each dot, there will be a carbon crust that you shouldn’t touch for seven days unless you want to hide.

For at least 30 days, you must keep the treated area clean, dry, and out of the sun or other direct heat sources. You will be given creams to put on your wound for the next week to help it heal.

Some unusual side effects are infections, scarring, or changes in skin color. Doing what the doctor tells you to do after the surgery is essential.

PlexR Recovery Time

You might feel burning for a few hours after treatment, but you should be fine to go back to work and even drive right away. If you had treatment on your eyes, you would have to wait for the swelling to go down before you could return to work.

Your doctor will give you a skin-colored cream that you should use for about a week after the treatment to cover the area that was treated and protect it from light.

Doctors might also advise avoiding exfoliating washes and cleansers until it has completely healed, which usually takes about a week.

PlexR Side Effects

Since Plexr is non-invasive and doesn’t need a general anesthetic or stitches, there aren’t as many risks as with surgery.

You might feel burning or tingling, and a crust, scab, or brown marks might form on the affected area. This must be kept clean and dry to prevent an infection. When a sensitive area, like the eyes, is treated, there may be swelling for up to a week.

Is PlexR painful?

Most PlexR treatments only cause a little bit of pain. This dynamic blepharoplasty technique is used to fix problems with the eyelids. This means that the doctor will ask you to open and close your eyes during the procedure.

How many PlexR sessions do you need?

How many PlexR sessions you need depends on what kind of extra skin you have, how much of it you have, and how big the area you want to treat is. Most of the time, you will need between one and three treatments, spaced out every four to six weeks.

During your consultation, our doctor will examine the area and determine what it needs. Then, they can suggest the best treatment or combination of treatments to get the best results.

Treatments are permanent. But PlexR can’t stop the aging process, so you may want to get more treatments in the future.

So, Does it Work?

Plexr can be used to tighten the skin and lift the eyes. The results can last up to five years, but like any other cosmetic treatment, it won’t stop the skin from getting older.

In terms of cost and ease of use, Plexr is a relatively cheap and easy way to get cosmetic work done. In many cases, the results are very similar to those of surgery.

Considering that a blepharoplasty eyelid lift costs a bit, paying for a similar result with Plexr might be a good deal. But it’s important to remember that it might not work for everyone. People with a lot of extra skin might be better off with surgery.
