Chemical Peels

Chemical peels can help to improve the appearance of your skin dramatically. A chemical peel involves applying a solution to the skin, which causes it to swell and eventually peel off. In turn, this results in smoother and less wrinkled new skin. Chemical peels can be applied to the face, neck, and hands.

Chemical peels are available in three different types, light, medium, or deep peel. A light peel targets only the epidermis, a medium peel targets some of the middle layers of the epidermis, and a deep peel penetrates all epidermis layers.

A Chemical Peel can be used to:

Types of Peels and Skin Treatments we offer

VI Peel

Vi Peels are skin treatments that are used mainly on the face, chest, and hands to improve their appearance. This peel was developed to treat a range of skin conditions, such as acne, scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture, and hyperpigmentation. The VI Peel is a dermatologist-developed product made from sugar cane glycolic acid that helps break down the top layer of skin. Stimulating collagen production as it exfoliates allows for a more even pigmentation and tightening of the facial contours.

Vi Peel penetrates deep into the skin, disrupts the skin’s cell membranes, and promotes the growth of new skin cells. VI Peels are medium-depth chemical peels with a medical-grade base. This non-invasive treatment leaves the skin glowing and smooth.

Sesderma Peel

The Sesderma Peel uses Nanotechnology to transport active ingredients in nanometric liposomes with high penetration power.
Nanotechnology enables the delivery of active ingredients encapsulated in lipid bubbles to the deepest layers of the skin to deliver treatments at a depth that has never been achieved before.
It is possible to increase the efficacy and stability of active ingredients using this method while reducing their toxicity since the composition of the capsules is similar to the membranes of cells. Almost all of Sesderma’s products utilize this technology. The Sesderma system offers different strength peels, from Light to Deep, depending on the skin type and needs of the patients. Our skincare experts will determine which strength peel is right for you during your consultation.

To refresh and revitalize your skin, a chemical peel removes the top layer of skin, which shows signs of aging and sun damage. As a result, your complexion will be further improved, and fine lines will be reduced.
A chemical peel is suitable for all skin types and tones. Peels are different strengths depending on the concerns they are meant to address, such as acne versus sensitive skin.
According to your skin concerns and the strength of the peel, we usually recommend a treatment plan and peel cycle. Our skincare experts at TRUTH MedSpa will help you determine what is best for you during your personalized consultation.
You will notice visible exfoliation and redness following the peel for two to six days.
